FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS

Our focus for the remainder of the year is to be responsible for ourselves and our actions. We will focus on being in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing and making good choices. Of course, mistakes can and do happen. When they do we will focus on putting it right next time. Learning from mistakes is important.

Garden to table is back!

We really enjoyed our first garden-to-table session for term four today. Our outdoor team worked hard in the garden and harvested some delicious, fresh ingredients. The kitchen team worked at earning their 'knife license' and prepared some fantastic vegetarian Vietnamese spring rolls. One of the great things about garden-to-table is trying new foods we may not have tried before. Our garden-to-table lessons are every second Wednesday. Please remember your shoes and awesome, positive attitude. 🤓

Finished and proud!

We have put the finishing touches on to our 'upcycled' art using the primary colours, red, yellow and blue. It took loads of hard work and all along Mr Faulder kept saying, "more, more! Keep going!" We displayed and talked about our creations at a recent school assembly. We are very proud of our dedication and creativity!

Glue-topia!

Awesome fun in room 16 lately😀 We have been busy preparing for the Purii Arts Extravaganza! All students in year 3 & 4 are currently involved in preparations for our theatre production entitled 'Abandoned!' Students have opted in to different groups based on their strengths and interests, some front of stage and others behind the scenes.  The play is being put on with as much student writing, direction, design, input and influence as possible.
In addition to the play, all classes will be displaying a variety of artworks in the school hall. Our theme for the year is 'making the world a better place' and room 16 have been messy making 'upcycled' paper mache sculptutres out of rubbish and recyclables. The smell of hot glue, the feel of a paste and newspaper between our fingers the, the sight of paint changing our creations before our eyes...
Please come and see our artistic creations at our arts extravaganza our check our blog for future updates 🎨🎭
