Welcome back to Term 3!

 Nau mai, haere mai, welcome back to Term 3 of the school year.

We have a busy and exciting term ahead! This term is ARTS term and we begin with a drama workshop in week one, and a trip to the Auckland Art Gallery in week two. There will be a whole school Art Exhibition at the end of term. More details to follow. Keep checking the blog to see our artistic creations develop over the term. The Commonwealth Games are on and we have Maths Week in week three. We are looking forward to a great term of fun and learning!

               

It is Green Week!

 This week at school is 'Te Wiki Kakariki' - 'Green Week'. We will have lots of fun learning activities about New Zealand native trees. We will learn about 'Rongoa Maori' - medicines of the Maori - and how we can use many of our native trees and plants. We will learn how to be 'kaitiaki' - caretakers of the environment. We might even grab a book and have another read in some of the beautiful native trees in our school grounds. Should be a great week of fun and learning!
