The Human Body Learning At Home

 Kia ora Room 16!

We have a new learning focus while we are in our lockdown bubbles - The Human Body and how it works. We are going to break it up into pieces (that sounds weird, doesn't it 😉) beginning with a study of the heart and our circulatory system - how blood moves around our body and keeps us alive.

Have a look at this slide deck and click on the links. If you click on the image labelled 'find out about the heart' you will find lots of information to help you. You can present your work in any way you like. For example, you could copy the table called 'the circulatory system' into a book or make a poster. If you can access your Google Drive, you will find a copy of this slide deck in your 'Inquiry' folder. You can then add text boxes or extra slides to show your learning and I can see what you have done.

Email me if you have any questions and join in to our class Google Meets each day at 10.30am. Most of all have fun and stay safe in your bubble.

Kia kaha! Andy.

  1. Kia ora Room 16. Phil from Ako Hiko here. Hmm, is one system in our body more important than the others? That's an interesting one. I might have to have a think about it. I'd love to hear what you come up with.

  2. Wow - some interesting facts! Did you know that bone marrow is a recycling plant? I could make up some jokes or puzzles using these facts. Look at my blog "The Cottage" and with your kids help we could start a puzzle or joke page about these great facts??? Hope your kids will help me.
