Oakley Creek

We have been learning about our local waterway, Oakley Creek. We have learned how important it is to keep our community clean and litter-free so that rubbish doesn't get washed into the creek and end up in our harbour. We are the 'kaitiaki' or caretakers of our backyard! We went on some walks to explore Oakley Creek and helped Sustainable Coastlines to do a clean up of the creek too. We are proud of our Katiakitanga!

Wow that looks like a lot of fun! And I like how you put rubbish together and then put paper fish around it very good art!
How much rubbish did you pick up?
