Colour Science

This term is science term. We have been doing some fun experiments that have really been getting us thinking...

How does the water stay up in the top bottle without falling down? 

How can we get it into the bottom bottle? What is the quickest way to get it there?

Why does the food colouring in the milk move around when we add a drop of dishwashing soap?

Talk to a friend or someone at home about these experiments. How much can you tell them about the experiments? Maybe you can do the experiment again with your family and explain the science involved. 

Pink Shirt Day

 

This Friday is 'Pink Shirt Day'. This is a day to wear anything pink to show your support for speaking up, standing together and stopping bullying. It will be fun to get involved in any way you can. We will be discussing how every one of us has a role to play in stopping bullying and making our lives as positive as can be. See you there!

It IS rocket science!

 We had fun learning about 'Rocket Science'. We learned about forces, gravity, and Newton's laws of physics. We made rockets, used rocket balloons, did rocket maths, rocket reading and rocket writing. It was a blast! Term 2 is science term so keep checking our class blog for more cool science stuff.

Road Safety Week

 

This week is Road Safety Week!  Here are some ways we can be road safety superheroes:

• always use the school crossing

• walk, bike or scooter to and from school 

• scooter at a safe speed and keep a look out for cars going in and out of driveways

• wear a helmet when you are on your bike or scooter

• be SAFE in cars - Seatbelts Are For Everyone!
