Beach Education

We had such a great time at beach education day. There were different activities to try, games to play, and friendships to celebrate. Just look at our smiles! Room 16 would like to thanks Mrs Mudgeway for all her hard work and organisation to make it happen.

Room 16 Has Got Talent!

As we've known all year, Room 16 has got talent! Recently we held an in-class talent show on give us an opportunity to showcase some of our many talents. It was great to see people brave and talented enough to give it a go. Great to perform in front of such a supportive audience too! Room 16 - you've got talent!

We have been studying stormwater runoff and pollution of our waterways. We have learned how important it is to minimise litter because the drains lead to streams, rivers, wetlands and the ocean.

           Remember, every litter bit counts!             Only rain down the drain!

Community contribution

We enjoyed our trip to the community gardens recently. We worked hard clearing weeds, spreading mulch and preparing some garden beds for planting. Thanks for getting 'stuck in' and working hard room 16 - ka pai tõ mahi!

Athletics Day 2019

What a fabulous Athletics Day we had! The sun shone all day and it was scorching! We all walked to the Owairaka Athletics Club where we could use the real running track and facilities. It was a great day where we all challenged ourselves. Well done Owairaka!

Calendar Art

We have created some fantastic artworks which are going to be used as a school fundraiser. Each year one piece of artwork is used for 'calendar art'. This can be made into a 2020 calendar, greeting cards, diary, sketch book or even a mouse pad. Our artwork shows the seasons changing throughout the year - have a look at the photos. We are very proud of our work. Please think about supporting this fundraiser. They make great gifts for friends and family as well!
