We had great fun today at our Auckland Rugby League taster session. Trying something new, keeping fit and having fun. Sorry the pictures are a bit blurry - we were going so fast!!
This week we have been celebrating Matariki - The Maori New Year. We have done lots of learning and sharing in class. We have learned waiata and a haka which we will perform at a special Matariki assembly this Thursday at 2.00pm. We have created artworks including this cool korowai cloak. All classes will be displaying their cloaks at the assembly. Come along if you can!
We were lucky to have Zac's dad kindly come to class and share some fun science with us. He brought a smoke machine so we could see the force created when air moves. We also did the famous 'coke and mentos' explosion experiment - most people's favourite. Thanks so much for the science fun Mark!
This green week, as part of our science topic about invertebrates, we studied bees. We learned so much about these fascinating, hard working creatures. Well done to Hazel and Deborah who showed great commitment to their learning and found 100 different facts about bees!
We were busy bees this green week studying honey bees. We know how hard working they are and how they are an important part of our environment. We researched many fascinating facts about these cool creatures and made a beehive display in our classroom. Come and see how much we learned!
