Race Relations Day - THE FOOD!
Ah yes...the food! The festive feast is a highlight for many on Race Relations Day.
It is a great chance to try something new that you've never tried before.
A smorgasbord of flavors from all around the world. Mmmmmmm.
Race Relations Day
Wow! Look at us on Race Relations Day! This is one of Owairaka's favourite days of the year. We all dress up and the school is a sea of colour.

A sweet treat!
Recently rooms 16 & 17 were lucky enough to share a delicious sweet treat. Mr Lyons was extracting honey from our school beehive. He showed us the honeycomb in the 'frames' and how to spin the frames to extract the honey. Seeing the process was fascinating but the best part was tasting the delicious, sweet honey made right here at Owairaka.
