To celebrate 'Book Week' we dressed up as a book character and held a fun assembly.
The week was a great chance to celebrate our favourite books and the joy they bring us.😊

S.O.S. = SHOWING OUR STRENGTHS !!!
In room 16 we have an especially special learning session each week.
We call it S.O.S - Showing Our Strengths.
This is a time when we choose a learning area we want to focus on. This could be an area we feel is a personal strength or talent. Sometimes we may choose to have a go at something new that we haven't tried before. We LOVE this part of the week and enjoy showing others the results we produce. SHOWING OUR STRENGTHS !!!
Bharath and Sam really love showing their strengths on the bongo drum.
Some of us have learned to play songs together like a band.
In this S.O.S session Isabelle, Ridha and Mila were researching cultural icons to use in their artworks.
We have started to write a song!
Navneet and William having a go - 'karawhuia' = give it a go!
Romena on the keys.
Larissa on the beats.
We get satisfaction from looking after our school environment. Hana and Valerie showing their strengths in the African garden.
Some of us choose to show our scientific strengths.
Viddhik and Aayush made a model island to show how rainfall runoff can form rivers and lakes.
Zarghuna, Mila and Ridha demonstrate a chemical reaction when mixing baking soda and vinegar.
